Chris Tomlin I February 2
Chris Tomlin, one of the leading artists and activist within contemporary Christian music, is bringing his tour, Hello Love, to the Mid-America Center on Monday, February 2, 2009. Israel Houghton and New Breed will open for Tomlin.
Hello Love is Tomlin's seventh studio album and was released September 2 of 2008. This tour will introduce his latest work to fans as well as reprise old favorites such as "How Great Is Our God," "Indescribable," "Forever," "Famous One," "We Fall Down," "Holy Is the Lord" and "Made to Worship." His first single from Hello Love entitled "Jesus Messiah" has already reached #1 on the iTunes Christian and Gospel chart.
Tomlin, a Texas native, wrote his first song of praise at age 14 and released his debut album, The Noise we Make, in 2001. He was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2006 for his album See the Morning, which rose to number one on the Billboard's Christian albums chart and has been awarded numerous Gospel Music Awards and Dove Awards. Tomlin's songs are among the most popular contemporary songs in the world's churches and are sung by millions of Christians at worship services every week.
Israel Houghton is New Breed's leader, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He has seen his compositions become integral components for progressive now-generation churches. This Grammy and Dove Award winning recording artist, producer and songwriter challenges people all over the world to rise to a higher purpose.
