Hennepin Theatre Trust created the SpotLight Musical Theatre Program with two goals in mind. First, to honor high school students who excel and participate in musical theatre, and second to underscore the importance of including theatre arts education in schools. SpotLight is in its fourth successful year celebrating and nurturing high school students' talents from 30 schools throughout the metro area! In addition to recognition, SpotLight provides students with musical theatre training opportunities throughout the year. At the culminating SpotLight Awards, you will witness performances by some of the finest young talent in our community and supporting the SpotLight Musical Theatre Program.
